The Hard to Wrap. Easy to Give. campaign from STIHL has been an enduring holiday event for nearly a decade. The client ask: breathe new life into a campaign idea that was showing its age.
Strategy and Solution
Our research revealed that outdoor power equipment isn’t top of mind for gift giving. Our solution: make STIHL tools, wearables and accessories be seen as a fun, welcomed departure from the usual holiday gift idea.
The Real STIHL storybook
For national TV placements, we created a magical STIHL winter wonderland. Using 3D motion graphics and an original music track, we drew viewers into a world where power tools slide on snow and outdoor fireplaces become turntables for products.
Customized gift wrap
Each of the primary STIHL tools were custom gift-wrapped with STIHL branded iconography to reinforce that STIHL was not your ordinary gift.
